For the past few years, Reddit.com has been hosting a MASSIVE, worldwide Secret Santa gift exchange online. You enter it, buy a gift for a random person, and get a gift from someone else somewhere in the world.
Even though tens of thousands of people have participated, the gift exchange never really got a ton of media attention . . . until now. Because a 24-year-old named Rachel in New York signed up, and her Secret Santa turned out to be . . . BILL GATES.
Rachel got her gift in the mail. Bill Gates donated a COW in her name to a family in a third-world country through a charity called Heifer International.
He also sent her a book and stuffed cow . . . and a photo of himself holding up the charity certificate and the cow for proof.
Rachel posted about her experience online, basically gushing over Bill Gates and her random luck of being paired with him. She also apologized for one of the items on her Christmas wish list . . . an iPad.
There's no word on what Bill Gates got from HIS Secret Santa.
