Construction of A New Pedestrian bridge that crosses Pete Rose Way, has forced the closure of Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Johnny Bench Way, until Friday, August 2.
Closures in the construction area will allow crews to work on lifting the Pete Rose Way pedestrian bridge girder into position, allow delivery of bridge bearings and positioning of construction cranes.
Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Johnny Bench Way will be closed, until 3 p.m. Friday but access from Second Street to the LL ramp to Mehring Way as well as all garage parking entrances will be maintained.
The Bridge will abut U.S. Bank Arena with access to Great American Ball Park. The roads are scheduled to be open Friday just in time for the Cincinnati Reds beginning of a three game home stand at Great American Ball Park, against the Saint Louis Cardinals. First pitch for the Fireworks Friday night game is at 7:10pm.
