(Cincinnati) It could be available by this summer. Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley announced Wednesday that the city will give Cincy Bike Share $1.1 million in start-up funds that will be combined with private donations.
"Bike Share which a lot of cities are doing for tourist and what not, where you can rent a bike ride it around downtown in the street and then leave it at another station," said Cranley on 55KRC speaking with host Brian Thomas.
Cincy Bike Share will start out with 35 stations and about 300 bikes in downtown, Over-the-Rhine and Uptown near the University of Cincinnati. He also said private funds will be used to maintain operations.
