(Cincinnati)-- The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber is planning to celebrate their 175th year with events, programs and a float in the 2014 Cincinnati Reds' Opening Day parade this spring.

The chamber got its start in 1839, helping to settle disagreements with local business and individuals in the fast growing community, with a population swelling over 45,000 people in 1839, making it one of the country's fastest growing cities.

Currently the chamber has over 5,000 member businesses, and works to promotes economic development and cooperation.

They offer business, networking, leadership and educational programs sharing where businesses are headed in the next 25 years.

In 2014 Cincinnati will host the 100th Annual convention of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives on Aug. 12-15. The 4 day event will be held at local hotels including the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel, The Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and The Millennium Hotel Cincinnati.

The Chamber will hold their first CEO Roundtable series of the year on Jan. 29 with Rich Graeter from The Graeter's Ice Cream chain.
