(Middletown, Oh.)--No arrests have yet been made in the death of William Tyrone Sawyer, who body was found on a bike path lying in a pool of blood.
Police say the 25-year-old’s body was reportedly found by a young girl on the Great Miami River Recreational Trail near Ninth and Maple streets at about 8:40 a.m. Sunday.
Middletown Police say Sawyer, from Woodside Boulevard in Middletown, was found with his wallet, intact and all money still inside. They have ruled out suspicion that his death was the result of a robbery. Investigators say Sawyer suffered an entry and exit wound, leading them to investigate his death as a homicide.
An autopsy was conducted on Monday, detectives are still awaiting the results to determine the exact cause of death.
