(Cincinnati, Oh.)--AC Hotels by Marriott, a joint venture between Marriott International and Spanish group AC Hotels, plans to bring a 130-room boutique hotel to Liberty Twp. in Butler County

The joint venture was developed in 2011 and designs hotels with an urban aesthetic and high-end design. AC Hotels runs about 80 hotels in Spain, Portugal, Italy and France. The company has started expanding to cities across the United States, including Miami, New York City and New Orleans. The hotel will boast a second-floor pool and a library and plans to open in the fall of 2015.

Construction of the $350 million, major retail-residential-and-office development in Butler County will begin with the parking garage later this year. The hotel will anchor the major mixed-used Liberty Center development on 64-acres along with a two-story Dillard's flagship store. Developers say 800,000 square feet will be reserved for retail space out of 1.1 million planed square-feet.

Other buildings at the site will house the 80,000-square-foot hotel, office space will occupy about 75,000 square feet and developers plan to put in at least 220 apartments.
